Call for Artists Holiday Art and Craft Market
Space is still available for the Holiday Art and Craft Market in Martinsburg.
The Berkeley Arts Council is seeking artists and artisans to participate in the 2011 Holiday Art and Craft Market in downtown Martinsburg from November 23 through the Christmas shopping period. The Market will be set up in a currently unoccupied store on Queen Street.
Information and sign-up meetings for interested artists and artisans are set for Tuesday, September 27, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, October 6, 6-8pm p.m. in the upper level conference room at the Martinsburg Public Library.
Artists who are unable to attend either of these meetings can download the information and application forms from the Berkeley Arts Council Web site at http://www.berkeleyartswv.org/Holidays.php or contact Rip Smith at berkeleyartswv@gmail.com or 304-596-0873. Note that artists may be asked to show samples of their work before being accepted for the Market.
Artists will participate in an informal co-op and will be asked to pay a fee of $30 plus a 20% commission. Participants will help with the setup and operation of the gallery. Space is limited so artists will be encouraged to sign up for the Market at one of these meetings or using the forms available online.
More details as well as guidelines for submission of art and crafts are posted on the Berkeley Arts Council web site at http://www.berkeleyartswv.org/Holidays.php. Questions may be emailed to berkeleyartswv at gmail.com; or telephone 304-596-0873.
The Holiday Market is a collaboration between the Berkeley Arts Council, ArtBerkeley, Inc. and the Heritage Craft Center of the Eastern Panhandle.
