"Healing Water" by Jean Kellogg
“Healing Water” by Jean Kellogg

In conjunction with the theatrical Christmas shows at the Apollo Theater in Martinsburg, WV, the Berkeley County Arts Council December show in the theater lobby features spiritual artworks by W. J. Gilbert Kellogg. This body of work explores themes of a spiritual nature using multiple modes of conceptual expression, ranging from abstraction to figurative realism.

Having a broad and varied stylistic range has enabled Ms. Kellogg to create art throughout her professional art career in multiple media, reaching a wide audience of viewers. It has also facilitated use of her art in many venues, and the exploration of ideas, concepts and themes for use of her art in fine art, commercial art, advertising, marketing, brand identity, web applications, and artisanal realms. Originally from Charleston, WV, she earned her undergraduate degree at Marshall University. Though she left WV for a time to work in corporate advertising and technology, she returned to the Mountain State in 2006 to raise her family.

Ms. Kellogg is a published illustrator and writer, as well as an award-winning fine artist. She may be reached at with any inquiries about her artwork, classes, lessons, questions or requests about her art. Additional artwork and crafts by Ms. Kellogg may be seen at the annual Berkeley Arts Holiday Art and Craft Market, 115 S. Queen Street in Martinsburg, through December 23, where the work of many additional fine local artists and artisans is also available for sale.
