Berkeley Arts Council Showcases Student Artwork

A selection of student artwork from the Berkeley Arts Council January-February art classes is on display at the Martinsburg Berkeley County Library.

The artwork was created during the classes in oil and watercolor painting, pottery, and the “Art Exploration” class for home school students.

Most of the participants were beginners and Jane Horst, Arts Council Vice President and coordinator for the Art Instruction Program says that “It’s amazing how much creativity there is in our community. All it takes is a little encouragement to bring it out.”

The Art Instruction Program is part of the Berkeley Arts Council’s mission to “Amplify the Arts” for local residents. The program presented with cooperation from the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation Department and is supported in part by a grant from Ecolab.
