The opening reception at the Berkeley Art Works on Saturday for the Eastern West Virginia Juried Exhibit was a great party, with a fantastic turnout and enthusiastic comments for the exhibit.
Awards were announced and the crowd enjoyed a fine selection of refreshments provided by a volunteer “party committee.”
Award certificates were given out to participating artists. “Best in Show” went to Neil Super for his turned wood piece entitled, “Dream Fragment I”

Merit awards went to Gary Bergel for his photograph “Skystone I” and James Stemmle for his watercolor painting “Room with a View.”
Honorable Mentions went to Nancy McLoughlin for “Wall I”, Earl Mills for “Maintenance, Daniele Piasecki for “Claire de la Lune”, Skip Wolodkewitsch for “Rhapsody in Blue”, Terry Harden for “Hide and Seek”, and Michael Purtlebaugh for “Fall Park.”
The Juror for the exhibit was Kathryn Burns, owner of the Bridge Gallery in Shepherdstown.
