The Berkeley Art Works at 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg will offer a new Watercolor Pencil workshop taught by Judith Becker.
On Saturday October 5 from 12:30-4:30pm, experienced teacher Judith Becker offers the opportunity to try out painting and creating with watercolor pencils. Under Judith’s experienced teaching methods, workshop participants will be able to try a variety of techniques to create beautiful works of art.
Judith Becker is an experienced artist with dual degrees in design and education. She has recently moved to the Eastern Panhandle, but previously taught a variety of classes in Garrett County, Maryland. Judith specializes in painting with colored pencils, pastels and watercolors and often mixes her media for unusual effects.
Previously announced workshops at the Berkeley Art Works are: “Basic Image Editing in Adobe Lightroom and Advanced Techniques in Photoshop Elements” on Saturday September 21, 1-4pm, taught by photographer Rip Smith; and An Introduction to “Zentangle” drawing, Sunday, September 29 from 1-3:30, taught by Mary Klotz. Zentangle ® is a drawing practice that is quick to learn the foundations, which give rise to complex, intriguing images. Based on a combination of free flowing forms and structured patterns drawn with fine black markers, it is fun, freeing, engaging, and at the same time relaxing.
