Pottery and handbuilding, Beginning and intermediate
Mondays, January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17; 6:30-8:30pm
Instructor: Hilda Eiber
This class will feature an introduction to the foundation skills of working with clay, under the direction of a master potter. Participants in the class will learn the coiling and slab techniques and work on small sculptures that will teach all the varied ways to achieve beautiful pottery.
Supplies: Students will provide a $25 supply fee paid to the instructor. This will cover the clay, use of the clay tools, and a bisque firing for work completed in the class.
As a multimedia artist Hilda Eiber works in her home studio producing ceramic sculptures, installations, paintings in oil and acrylics, and art pottery. In the past she has exhibited widely in the US and Europe, NYC at Gallery 220 and with the Bridge with Japan.
Tuition $80 for six weeks.

The Berkeley Arts Council offers a wide range of art classes and workshops at the Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg.
The announced classes for adults include beginning and intermediate acrylic painting, pastel painting, watercolor painting, beginning and intermediate drawing and sketching, pottery, and a classes on writing a a mystery novel.
Classes for young people include Art and Art History for home school middle and high school students, tempera painting for middle school students, and Junior Art Academy for age 7-10 years.
