“Taming Those Terrible Threads” Workshop Rescheduled

smoatsThe “Taming Those Terrible Threads” workshop taught by fabric artist Sue Moats has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 16 from 1-4pm at the Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg.

Does your thread have you tied in knots?  This class helps students create that special look on quilts or wearable garments with decorative threads. Confident beginner quilter/artists will find this class informative while intermediate students will also learn new problem solving solutions. Samples and techniques will be shown using the profusion of threads available to today’s quilter and fiber artist.  You’ll get Sue’s personal thread tips for both regular sewing machines and longarm quilting machines, plus guidance from Sulky of America and the ABC Pocket Needle Guide from Schmetz. Do you have specific problems?  Bring some samples and we’ll have a Q and A discussion. Door prizes will be provided.

Sue Moats was a National Educator representing Sulky of America Thread Company from 1996-2013. She is a professional longarm quilt artist and teacher and has taught at national and regional quilt shows. She specializes in free motion quilting using specialty threads. Sue loves to create wearable art quilted garments. She is active with the Quilts of Valor program and makes a donation quilt each year for Berkeley County WV Relay for Life. She is a member of Faithful Circle Quilt Guild in Columbia MD and The Woods Quilters in Hedgesville WV. Sue divides her time between MD & WV.
