A mini-vacation in an afternoon, our experienced instructors give you the basics to get started with a new creative interest. $45 each.
Saturday, March 15 Introduction to Acrylic Painting: Jean Kellogg talks about brushes, paint application techniques, paper and canvas boards. 1 to 4 pm.
Sunday, March 16 – Taming those Terrible Threads: Sue Moats teaches techniques to use the profusion of decorative threads for quilting and fiber arts. 1 to 4 pm.
Sunday, March 29 – Design and Composition in Painting: Judith Becker teaches an overview of all of the important techniques to achieve good design and composition in your paintings. 1 to 4 pm.

CLASSES FOR KIDS
Six classes in the session, 1 1/2 hours each. Fee: $50.
Youth Drawing (ages 8 -16) 9:00 -10:30 am. Fundamentals of portraits and figures, spatial relationships through shading and contrast, using charcoal, graphite, pen-and-ink. Instructor: Kristina Hoffman.

Pottery and Handbuilding (Intro & intermediate) (Mon. 6:30 -8:30 pm, $80) Hilda Eiber teaches coiling and slab techniques and small sculpture. Supplies $25
Introduction to Colored Pencil Painting (Wed. afternoon, 1 – 3 pm, $80)
Introduction to Watercolor Pencil Painting (Fri. morning, 9:00 – 1:30 am, $100)
Introduction to Watercolor Painting (Tues. evening, 6:00 – 8:30 pm, $100) Judith Becker teaches three techniques. Learn and explore with colored pencils, water-soluble pigment pencils or traditional brush-and-paint techniques that open the door to creativity.
Intermediate Drawing and Sketching (Wed., 6:30 – 8:30 pm, $80) Kristina Hoffman builds on students’ previous experience with materials, composition, perspective and portraiture.
Intermediate Acrylic & Mixed Media Techniques (Thurs., 6:30 – 8:30 pm, $80) Jean Kellogg guides students from the basics to more advanced painting and exploring the possibilities of combined techniques.
