The Berkeley Art Works presents a selection of new work from members of the Potomac River Artists Guild. Artists expected to participate are Monica Wilkins, Tom Nebel, Mary Alice Bowers, Sue Parker, Lilly Barrows, Carol Wilks, Jane Horst, Ronda Albright and others.

Art Scavenger Hunt!

Sharp-eyed visitors with imagination can be eligible to win $25 cash while they visit the Berkeley Arts Council’s current Art and Earth exhibit. Come by 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg before May 20 and pick up an entry form.
Then grab a clue card and start your tour of the gallery.  Solve four visual riddles and your entry may be selected to win $25. You’ll find the answers in the artwork in the show.
While you hunt your answers, you can savor 46 excellent pieces of artwork, many by artists from our region and some from 14 other states!    Gallery hours are 11 to 5 Wed-Fri, 11 to 4 on Saturday.
Winners will be chosen on May 20 at 4:00 pm, closing time for the exhibit.

Seventh Annual Art and Earth Exhibit Opens April 5

Reception Friday April 21, 5-7pm

The Seventh Annual Art and Earth Juried Exhibit will open April 5 at the Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg. There will be a reception and awards presentation on Friday, April 21 from 5-7pm. The exhibit will be on display through May 20. Gallery hours are Wed-Fri 11-5, Sat 11-4.

The Art and Earth juried exhibit attracted 144 works by 60 artists from 20 states. Juror Sonya Evanisko, of Shepherd University selected 46 works by 37 artists for the exhibit. Accepted works include paintings, mixed-media works, photographs, and a selection of ceramics and other 3-dimensional works.
