Berkeley Arts Council FY2020 Officers and Board Members

The Berkeley Arts Council Board of Directors held its first meeting of the 2020 fiscal year this week and elected new officers and members for the coming year. Effective July, 2019 the following officers were elected:

President – Anna Howard
Vice President – Judith Becker
Secretary – Gary Bergel
Treasurer – Malinda Shaver is a founding Board member and has served as President for the past 9 years.

Additionally, the following people will serve as board members:

Description: Participants will paint four different beautiful scenes at Alpine Lake Resort, in the mountains of West Virginia while improving their art skills under the direction of instructor.  Processes such as choosing the best view for the best layout, redesigning the view, capturing the light, painting efficiently, utilizing limited colors, capturing a mood and expressing oneself will all be objectives.  In most cases, the location of each site will have facilities in case of inclement weather. Seventh Annual Eastern West Virginia Juried Art Exhibit

The Berkeley Arts Council in Martinsburg, West Virginia announces the Seventh Annual Eastern West Virginia Juried Exhibit, to be displayed in the Berkeley Art Works Gallery, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg, WV. The exhibition will be on display September 4 – October 5, 2019.

Eligibility

The exhibit is open to artists in all media who reside in one of the eight counties that compose what is known as the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Those counties are Berkeley, Jefferson, Morgan, Hampshire, Hardy, Grant, Mineral, and Pendleton. Continue reading
