‘Reflections of Gratitude’ Exhibit Award Winners

The Berkeley Arts Council announces the award winners for Reflections of Gratitude, a collection of works about women, on display at the Berkeley Art Works, 116 N. Queen Street, Martinsburg, WV.

The award winners are:

Best of Show:  Natalie Clark, Lancaster PA, for her necklace entitled, “Pioneer for Medicine” to recognize the scientific accomplishments of Dorothy Hodkins’;

Merit Award: Amy Hollan, Jamestown NY, for her collage entitled, “Grace Notes” to commemorate her music teacher Jane Lynn Corbitt;

Honorable Mention: Alisa White, Greenbelt MD, for her photograph entitled, “Mom. A Self-Portrait” to honor her mother who raised her and “worked tirelessly so others could thrive.”

Reflections of Gratitude is an exhibit to celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day in March.  The exhibit was a national call for artists to commemorate women whose achievements and contributions have enriched our lives and bettered our world.  There is a wide range of subjects covered and many stories shared in this exhibit.  Some works are about specific women, while others pay tribute to accomplishments and character traits of women overall.

Reflections of Gratitude is on display until April 2.  The Berkeley Art Works is open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11am to 5pm, and Saturday from 11am to 4pm.  For more information visit the Berkeley Arts Council Web site https://berkeleyartswv.org.
