Collage for Self Discovery

In Person
Wednesday September 21, From 6pm-8pm

This workshop is offered by the Berkeley Arts Council and will be held at the Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg, WV.

Instructor: Martha Hanley

Description of Workshop:

College for Self Discovery is a fun, simple, inexpensive process of creating small .5×7 collages to access your inner wisdom for self acceptance, healing, and personal empowerment.  You will embrace your intuition and innate creativity as you quietly sort through images and find one that speaks to you. The cards you create become markers, image holders to help you recall all the inner resources you have.  Each card speaks to you of a resource available to teach your own inner truth as you sit with it and listen to it. Sharing this process in a group is more empowering as we each serve as witnesses, honoring and acknowledging what emerges for each of us.  Finding an image and letting it speak a personal meaning are more important than creating a beautiful product . This process can become a tool, a practice for you own unique, evolving self.
