Oil, Cold Wax, and Palette Knife Painting Workshop
Saturday, January 28, 2023; 10:30-12:30, (Lunch Break 12:30-1), 1-3pm (Four hours)

- Cold wax paste (Gamblin or other brand name)
- Canvas Paper (any size)
- Palette Knifes (assorted sizes/shapes)
- Old Rags or Paper Towels
- Palette mixing surface
- Oil colors + white
- Masking tape
- Brayer (to roll paint on surface)

Creating Collage
Wednesdays February 1,8,15,22, 2023; 1-4pm (Four weeks)

Supplies: Watercolor paper (12 x 18 is a good size), art journal -if you have one, glue stick (not washable) white glue or matte medium, brush to apply glue, variety of paper with colors, graphics and pictures, box to organize your paper collection (12 x 12 plastic boxes are good) scissors, paint including acrylic or gouache, brushes, colored pencils, sharpener, and foam board to secure your page. Additional supplies provided by instructor.

Parchment Craft Workshop

In this class, we will use modern materials to create a nostalgic, beautiful Valentine’s Day card suitable for someone you care for. This is a beginner’s workshop. You will be happy to know that your card will look wonderful and will be something that you will enjoy giving to your special someone.

Basic supplies are included in the supplies package, but feel free to bring along any special little bits that you might like to see in your nest – interesting little twigs, feathers, ribbon, lichen, moss etc.

Introduction to Negative Painting in Watercolor
Saturday, March 11, 2023; 9:00am-4:00pm (Seven Hours),
Instructor: Monica Wilkins
Materials needed:
- 140lb. (or higher) cotton watercolor paper (Arches, Kilmanjaro. Note: Canson and Strathmore are made from wood pulp)
- Pencil
- #8 and #10 round watercolor brush
- 1 1/2 “ flat wash brush
- Gator board or foam board for your watercolor paper
- Fresh tubes of watercolor paint. Suggestion cerulean blue, Burnt Sienna, Pthalo Green; or use colors you like.
- Mixing area
- Hairdryer
- Spray bottle (small) filled with clean water
- Piece of plexiglass 11×14 or larger for doing wet into wet color

Introduction to Soft Pastels
Saturday, March 25, 2023; 9:00am-4:00pm (Seven Hours),

We will discuss and use various soft pastel supplies and make surfaces in our class. Hard/medium pastels and various papers will be provided for use in class. We will practice techniques with a still life or landscape.
Ages: Teen through adult.

Policy:
Registration
Class information and fees are provided on the BAC website. An online registration form must be completed either by the student or a BAC representative. Tuition may be paid online using a credit card that is processed through our secure payment system.
Registration may also be paid by cash or check but payment must be received within four days of the start of the class to assure the student a space. BAC reserves the right to take a student off the roster if not paid in advance. Follow this link for a printable registration form.
Holiday schedule: Classes will be held on federal or state holidays (President’s Day, election day, etc.) if that is a normally scheduled day. Class will not be held on Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or during the last 2 weeks of December.
Refunds
Coordinator must authorize payment of a refund. PayPal refunds are available within a limited time. Payment by cash or check will be refunded by check mailed to the student or to the person who made the payment (a parent, etc.)
REFUND POLICY:
If a class is cancelled by BAC due to insufficient enrollment or another reason, the instructor or Coordinator shall notify the students and arrange for a refund of fees paid.
Withdrawal from class
If a student pays for a class and then withdraws, refunds will be made as follows:
· Withdrawal after first class session: no refund unless there are special circumstances, i.e. a medical or family emergency. A fee of 20% of the original amount will be deducted and the remaining amount is pro-rated by number of classes already held.
· Withdrawal less than four days prior to first session: refund of fee paid less 20% service charge.
