Beginning Oil Painting

Saturdays: June 03, 2023 – June 24, 2023, 10:00am-1:00pm (4 sessions)

Oil Painting is a wonderful, forgiving form of painting that is excellent for beginning painters.  Its slow dry times and re-workable surface are excellent for making changes.  Blending colors in oils is very beautiful.  The colors retain their rich hues and look fresh for many, many years.

In this beginner’s workshop, you will complete a simple still life that you will be proud to frame and display in your home.  You will learn some simple drawing techniques, some basic color mixing techniques, how to apply the oil paint to your canvas and how to preserve your oil painting once it is completed and has dried.  Safety with materials will be taught and you will learn how to use basic materials.  This workshop will prepare you for subsequent oil painting workshops.

Enjoy this peaceful endeavor.  You do not need to know how to draw for this workshop; nor do you need any experience.  I look forward to teaching you!

Collage for Self-Discovery, Coming Home to Your True Self Through Art

Sundays: June 04, 2023, 1:00 PM – June 25, 2023, 4:00 PM (4 sessions)

Collage for Self-Discovery is a fun, simple, inexpensive process of creating 5×7 card collages to access your inner wisdom for self- acceptance, healing, and personal empowerment. Embrace your intuition and innate creativity as you quietly sort through images and find ones that leap out to you. Collage cards you create become markers, image holders to help you recall all your inner resources.
