Berkeley Arts Council – Quick Facts
Through support received from Sponsors, Patrons of the Arts and Professional Artists, we host two major exhibitions annually at our gallery, the Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street in historic Downtown Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Art & Earth Juried Art Exhibition: Spring exhibit of original work by visual artists throughout the U.S., expressing views of the natural world and the environment with the goal of expanding awareness. The five-week Exhibition is the premiere showcase for the Berkeley Arts Council, attracting dozens of artists each year vying for Best in Show, Merit and Honorable Mention prize awards.
Eastern West Virginia Juried Art Exhibition: Fall showcase of original work in any medium or technique by artists from across the eight-county Potomac Highlands Eastern Panhandle regions of West Virginia. The five-week Exhibition is the premiere showcase for juried art in the region, attracting dozens of artists each year.
Founded in 2009, the Berkeley Arts Council is proud to have served as the Local Arts Agency for the Martinsburg-Berkeley County community, providing a supportive network for hundreds of artists and arts educators in eastern West Virginia and beyond.

Art is a vital part of a thriving community: it invites reflection, brings joy, and creates meaningful experiences that can be difficult to express in words. We are excited to welcome visitors to experience art and share a wide range of artistic work at our gallery, which is situated in the heart of our thriving historic business district in Downtown Martinsburg.

- Opportunity to select one piece of art from each exhibition, at a maximum value of $500
